The Cunning Little Vixen & Alphabicycle
11 - 11 July 2007 The Bridgewater Hall
For this unique family concert, the enchanting film version of Janácek’s much-loved work 'The Cunning Little Vixen’ will be screened for the first time with live accompaniment by the Hallé. In the heart warming story of Little Vixen Sharp Ears, great music and vivid animation magically combine in a moving tale of love, death and re-birth to create the first animated opera.
The evening also features the world premiere of Colin Matthews’ 'Alphabicycle’, a spellbinding setting of Christopher Reid’s rhymes for orchestra and a large children’s choir, narrated by Henry Goodman.
Featuring animation on the big screen, great music, an award-winning orchestra and a large children’s choir, this event is a musical adventure for all the family.
