Young Identity’s poetic responses Kojey Radical:

Smells like Home

‘Memory lane had the yellow bricks removed’
Bound my eyes just to prove I could remember
off the road,
trying to tell myself the town’s not the problem,
I stole some fate so I could get out,
‘Welcome to’ reads different in my eyes then my
mouth,
It’s easier if the town’s the problem,
It’s easier if I wear old shirts in a new city,
an old flirt with a new pretty,
I still look South-east down memory lane,
I carry all the yellow bricks in my left brain.

Fists towards the sky
We are asking for answers
And hearing echoes
