MIF17 Supper Clubs offer you an exclusive chance to sample carefully crafted menus by some of the chefs who have helped to define modern British cooking. Longtime MIF favourite Paul Heathcote has invited four of his friends to each cook for one night only at the Glass House in Festival Square – and with capacity strictly limited, you’ll want to book early to guarantee your place at the table.
David Moore is the owner of the Michelin-starred Pied à Terre and its sister restaurant L’Autre Pied, both in London’s West End. Paul and David met back in 1986 on their first day at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, David working front of house and Paul in the kitchen, and have been friends ever since.

Steven Doherty was the first Briton to become head chef of a three-Michelin-starred restaurant when he ran London’s legendary Gavroche, which won every major European food accolade and maintained its three-star status under his direction. Friends with Paul since they cooked together at Paul’s first ever chefs’ event in 1990, Steven also ran the acclaimed First Floor Café in Windermere for 13 years.

Carl Noller and Paul Heathcote formed a close friendship when they worked together at Simply Heathcotes in Preston, where Carl was head chef for a decade. Carl is now chef-patron of the hugely successful Yard in both Chester and Knutsford – but for one night only, the pair will relive their time together in Preston exclusively for MIF17.

Mark Hix was executive chef for Le Caprice and The Ivy for 18 years. He now owns a string of HIX restaurants and bars, as well as a smoking house that supplies Selfridges Foodhall in London, and recently joined with Damien Hirst to open Pharmacy 2 at the Newport Street Gallery. Mark and Paul bonded over their love of British produce, cooking and football, and have been friends for more than two decades.
