Bugzy Malone

With more artists to be announced

Manchester’s very own Grime King of the North Bugzy Malone, is one of the artists responsible for giving Manchester a voice in an otherwise London dominated scene. With his debut album out soon, Bugzy brings Manchester a double hit of his trademark, heavyweight sound for the ultimate homecoming as part of Manchester International Festival and The Warehouse Project Special Edition.

A collaboration between MIF and WHP, curated with BBC Radio 6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobbs, Special Edition is a series of unique nights in Manchester’s immense and atmospheric Mayfield, a former railway station in Manchester, with lighting designer Stuart Bailes.

Special Edition is part of a series of pre-Factory events, paving the way for the opening of The Factory, a new major arts space being developed in the heart of the city that will be operated by MIF.

Everything that happened and would happen

Pre-Factory event

Part-performance, part-construction site, Everything that happened and would happen by composer Heiner Goebbels is a re-enactment of history, always on the verge of collapse – only to be rebuilt as if nothing had happened.
