Booking & transaction fees

The MIF Box Office does not charge a per-ticket fee when booking online, by phone on 0843 208 1840 or in person at Quaytickets, Visit Manchester and the Festival Box Office. However, please note that such fees may apply when booking directly from Festival venues or other approved ticket agents rather than from MIF.
Some events may be subject to per-customer ticket limits. Please check individual show pages for details.
Tickets for the following shows can also be booked at the relevant venues or through the following agents:
MIF offers discounts to seniors (60+), children (under-16s), full-time students, jobseekers and disabled. Discounted tickets are strictly limited and subject to availability. For Fatherland, discounted tickets are only available directly from the Royal Exchange Theatre: royalexchange.co.uk or 0161 833 9833.

For details of accessible performances at MIF17, please see here.
Minimum age restrictions will be in place for a number of MIF17 shows, and are detailed on the relevant show pages. In addition, several events require visitors below a certain age to be accompanied by an adult.
The Welcoming Party: no unaccompanied children.
Sending, collecting & lost tickets
Paper tickets for reserved seated events will be posted from April. E-tickets will be emailed at the time of booking. General admission event tickets may not be sent until two weeks in advance.
Tickets purchased within ten days of any event must be collected on the day from the venue box office near the entrance, by presenting the booking confirmation and the card used to pay.
If you haven’t received your tickets before the event, or if you’ve lost your tickets, please contact the vendor directly.
Refunds & exchanges
All MIF tickets are sold through Quaytickets, our official ticketing partner, and through other approved agents. Please read each agent’s terms and conditions before purchase. Tickets booked directly from venues or other agents are strictly non-refundable. We do not recommend purchasing tickets from unauthorised ticket agents.
Quaytickets will try to facilitate ticket exchanges between MIF events if tickets are available. If you’re unable to attend an event due to extenuating circumstances, email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will deal with refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
At MIF, we believe that all customers should be given an equal opportunity to buy tickets at face value, and we aim to stop the practice of reselling. Any tickets bought to be resold, whether at face value or at higher prices, will be immediately cancelled. Anyone found purchasing tickets for the purposes of resale will be refused tickets and entry for all other MIF17 events. All our events will have security checks, and you may be asked to provide proof of purchase from an approved seller.
Terms & conditions
When buying tickets, you will need to agree to the vendors’ terms and conditions in addition to the above.
