Booking & transaction fees
All bookings are subject to a transaction fee, which is set by the vendor.

The MIF Box Office does not charge a per-ticket booking fee, but such fees may apply when booking directly from Festival venues rather than from MIF.

Some events may be subject to per-customer ticket limits. For details, see each individual show page.

MIF offers discounts to seniors (60+), children (under-16s), full-time students, jobseekers and registered disabled. Discounted tickets are strictly limited and subject to availability. For Fatherland, discounted tickets are only available directly from the Royal Exchange Theatre.

£12 Greater Manchester residents
A number of tickets for every performance will be available exclusively for Greater Manchester residents on a lower income at a price of just £12. Click here for more information.

Accessible performances
For details of accessible performances at MIF17, please see here.

Sending, collecting & lost tickets
Tickets for general admission (unreserved) events will be posted two weeks before the performance. Tickets for reserved seating events will be posted in advance from December 2016 onwards.

Tickets purchased within ten days of any event must be collected either from the MIF Box Office in Festival Square (Albert Square), or on the day of the performance from the venue box office, which will be clearly marked at the entrance to each venue.

For some events with restricted capacities, tickets will be available for collection at the venue from one hour before the performance. You will be asked to provide your booking confirmation reference and the card with which you bought the tickets. If the cardholder will not be present, please let us know in advance by emailing boxoffice@mif.co.uk.

If you haven’t received your tickets before the event, or if you’ve lost your tickets, please contact the vendor directly.

Refunds & exchanges
All MIF tickets are sold through Quaytickets, our official ticketing partner, and through other approved ticket agents, as detailed on this website. Please take care to read each agent’s terms and conditions before purchase. Tickets booked directly from venues or other ticket agents are strictly non-refundable. We do not recommend purchasing tickets from unauthorised ticket agents.

Quaytickets will try to facilitate ticket exchanges between MIF events if tickets are available. If you’re unable to attend an event due to extenuating circumstances, please email boxoffice@mif.co.uk. We will deal with refund and exchange requests on a case-by-case basis.

Ticket reselling
At MIF, we believe that all customers should be given an equal opportunity to buy tickets at face value, and we aim to stop the practice of reselling. Any tickets bought to be resold, whether at face value or at higher prices, will be cancelled with immediate effect. This policy applies to tickets sold through eBay, Viagogo and other ticket reselling websites – if you buy from these sites, you run the risk of spending money on tickets that may be invalid. Anyone found to be purchasing tickets for the purposes of resale will be refused tickets and entry for all other MIF17 events. All MIF17 events will have security checks, and you may be asked to provide proof of purchase.
