Family Fun at Festival Square
Join us on Festival Square from 12-4pm tomorrow for some fabulous family fun hosted by YES. There will be a wide range of creative workshops for children of all ages to enjoy, and all absolutely FREE!
Young Double T-shirt Design Workshop: Children can colour-in one of 150 limited edition t-shirts designed and handprinted by Young Double for MIF/YES
Using fabric and graffiti pens children will colour-in our design in their own style. Use all the colours and don’t stay within the lines! T-shirt sizes 3 – 13 years
Square Pegs Screen-Printing: Inspired by Yoko Ono’s message of peace, participants will be invited to examine political rhetoric and using screen printing techniques and mixed media, create their own placards advocating peace.
Born To Be Wild Child: Animals of Manchester craft workshop, DJs, bubbles, balloon drop, parachute dance, giant colouring in wall mural and sensory play.
Creative Writing workshop with Emily Morris: For toddlers to teens. Inspired by Utopolis Manchester, children will envisage what a perfect Manchester would be like and write all about it.
