Yes, a ticket is required for this event. You can book your ticket online from Thursday 14 October.

Tickets for this event are only available through the MIF website here.

MIF21 Members will be able to access priority booking from 10am on Wednesday 13 October.

Please note, the MIF21 Membership is no longer available to purchase.

General tickets will be available to book from 10am on Thursday 14 October.

You will receive your e tickets at the point of booking.

All tickets are e-tickets for this event and there is no need to print them out; simply display the QR code on any device to gain entry.

You will also receive a handy reminder by text message with a link to your e-tickets on the day so please ensure your mobile number is up to date to receive this service. You can do this my signing in to your MIF account and updating your information.

Due to limited capacity we encourage people to book tickets in advance.

This event is suitable for all ages. However, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult over 18.

This is a standing event. If you require a seat for access reasons, please select an Access Seat ticket when booking.

The event will start at 7pm.

Latecomers will still be admitted once the event has started. However, we encourage you to arrive ahead of the start time to enjoy the full experience.

There will be toilets on site, including accessible toilets.

We welcome pushchairs at the event, but please note that there is no buggy park facility at this venue.

Yes, please keep personal belongings to a minimum; large bags will not be allowed. Please note there is no Cloakroom for this event.

This is an outdoor event. 

There is step-free access to all areas of the venue except for the stone bleachers at the back of the arena which are accessed via stone steps with a handrail. There are flat, square cobbles throughout Castlefield Bowl as well as flagged paths. The ground is uneven in places.

Please wear sensible shoes and dress according to the weather. 

To ensure everyone can see the performance, we discourage use of umbrellas during the event.

You can book a Wheelchair User ticket and there will be dedicated space available for you and a companion (if required) on the two inbuilt stone viewing platforms either side of the bleachers in Castlefield Bowl.

Please be aware that, like most of the venue, these areas are uncovered and open to the elements – dress for the weather!

This event will be captioned. We will ensure that the captions are visible from as much of the arena as possible so you can book a General Admission ticket.

BSL interpretation

This event will be BSL-interpreted. We will ensure that the BSL interpreter (Lizzie Wharton) is visible from as much of the arena as possible so you can book a General Admission ticket.

Accessible toilets

There will be toilets (including accessible toilets) at the event.

There is no Changing Places facility at this venue. The closest Changing Places facility is located at Manchester Central Library (approximately 0.7 miles away) and is open until 8pm. This is accessible via a RADAR key, or by asking a member of Library staff.

Getting here


There is limited accessible parking close to Castlefield Bowl, in front of the Science and Industry Museum on Lower Byrom Street and along Liverpool Road.

The nearest car parks with accessible spaces are NCP Great Northern Warehouses 1 & 2 on

Watson Street (M3 4EE for SatNav). There are 25 accessible spaces in Warehouse 1 and 15 in Warehouse 2 which operate on a first-come, first-served basis. These car parks are approximately 0.4 miles from Castlefield Bowl.

Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink station (Zone 1) and Deansgate railway station are approximately 485m away from Castlefield Bowl. All platforms at the Metrolink and railway stations have step-free access. There are lifts at Deansgate railway station and at the Metrolink station (accessible at the far end of Deansgate, on the corner with Whitworth St West. There is no tactile paving at Deansgate station, and level access to the Manchester platform is via the overbridge from the Metrolink station.

Free bus services stop at all city-centre stations, and buses also travel frequently along Liverpool Road. For full details of free bus routes, visit visit the TfGM website.


Covid safety


The Walk is an outdoor event with all activity taking place in the open air at Castlefield Bowl. To help ensure that everyone is able to come and enjoy this event safely, please do not attend if you display symptoms of coronavirus or have had a positive test result.

We are also asking audiences to help us to maintain everyone’s wellbeing by:

  • Taking a lateral flow test within 48 hours of the event
  • Wearing face coverings where possible when moving around the site
  • Sanitising hands using the hand sanitiser stations

We will continue to review Government guidance throughout and comply with all regulations in place at the time of the event. If there are any changes prior to the event, we will contact all ticket bookers and put clear information on our website and social media channels .

Whilst we advise that you take a Lateral Flow Test within 48 hours of attending the event, we do not currently require you to produce a negative result or proof of vaccination on arrival.  If this should become necessary prior to the event we will contact all ticket bookers and put clear instructions on our website and social media channels.
