We end our five-day, five-question survey of Festival Square food traders with a very naughty dessert. After our chats with Honest Crust, Manjit’s Kitchen, Heathcote & Co with the Staff of Life Bakery and Hispi, we’re ending the week by catching up with Ginger’s Comfort Emporium, who’ll be returning to Festival Square from Friday 30 June until Sunday 16 July…


First things first: who are you?

We are Ginger’s Comfort Emporium, and we make incredibly delicious, award-winning, real dairy ice cream and sorbets in creative and inventive flavours. We have an updated Manchester flavour this year to represent the city’s past, present and future: graphene & honey! All black, with a black cone. Sexy.


In five words, what are you serving on Festival Square?

Really, really tasty ice cream.


What’s the most popular item on your menu?

Salted caramel & peanut butter flavour ice cream, AKA Chorlton Crack.
