At its heart, The Walk is a journey that promotes education and creative learning. Everywhere Little Amal goes she will learn about people, places and cultures that are new to her. Whatever she learns, communities and online audiences can learn along with her.

Schools can join in by downloading The Walk‘s Education Activity & Resource Pack themed around Amal’s journey. Each theme enables young people to explore, question and understand the refugee crisis. Young people can also learn at home using the online version of the activity pack.

MIF are able to provide printed resources exclusively to Years 5 and 6 in Manchester schools. If you would like to request these for eligible school year groups, please fill out the short form linked to below and we will contact you soon.

The activity pack provides opportunities and materials to assist the development of empathy, confidence, self-esteem and sense of belonging and community in your students. Helping to create a safe and explorative environment to grow a generation of understanding and globally aware young people.

The activities and content in the Education & Activity Pack and corresponding Teaching Notes are strongly linked to common school subjects and can be woven into your learners’ curriculum. Learning aims and outcomes have been written for each theme, however we invite you to add or alter these to best suit your learners and your situation.
