Straightforward to navigate on foot, Manchester is connected up by trams and buses, including two free bus routes that cover a good part of the city centre. With direct rail links to London and cities across the North, it’s an easy place to get to – and to explore.
Situated in the North West of England, Manchester is a landlocked metropolitan city, adjoined by the city of Salford. The Peak District is less than two hours’ drive to the south east of the city, with the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District a little further to the north.
