MIF a winner at Northern Marketing Awards

We are thrilled to have been named winners of the Northern Marketing Award for our Tourism and Leisure campaign for the 2019 Manchester International Festival.

The awards, which celebrate the excellence, creativity and achievements of the marketing industry in the North, are judged by an esteemed panel of industry leaders and experts. The judging is a rigorous two stage process including pre-scoring to determine shortlists and a judging meeting where entries are discussed and evaluated in detail to decide the winners.

On naming Manchester International Festival as winners, the judges said “We felt this was a fantastic campaign with clear objectives, impressive ROI and a clearly driven campaign”.

Janina Mundy, MIF Marketing Director said: MIF19 was our largest and most successful Festival to date – more than 300,000 people joined us to experience more than 1,000 ticketed events created by the most amazing local, national and international artists. We want to attract and welcome the widest range of audiences from across Greater Manchester, the North West, the UK and around the world, and I’m delighted that our work in bringing the Festival’s ambitious programme to the public has been recognised by the Northern Marketing Awards with this award for Best Leisure and Tourism Campaign.

The 2019 awards ceremony took place at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Ground in Manchester, attended by around 400 marketeers from across the north and is an exceptional networking opportunity.

Other 2019 winners included Everton Football Club and Yorkshire Water.
