Exciting news: we’ll shortly be launching a new digital talent programme, inviting emerging and aspiring creatives from the region to create new digital work in response to this summer’s Festival. Applications will open on Thursday 7 March, the same day we launch the full MIF19 programme – check back soon for details on how to apply.
Our first digital talent scheme took place in 2017, when we invited 50 emerging creatives from Greater Manchester to join us for the three-month Creative50 programme. Musicians and writers, filmmakers and visual artists, designers and gamers: an extraordinary variety of individuals used new digital tools and technologies to develop their practice and respond to MIF17 programme. You can see some of their work in this short film and online at creative50.mif.co.uk – and if you’d like to follow in their footsteps, be sure to apply from Thursday 7 March.
MIF’s Creative50 is supported by the Arts Council’s Ambition for Excellence programme and Bruntwood.
