For the third Festival in My House, Leo Mercer turned his high-rise apartment into an intimate Festival venue. The New Islington Sessions featured three unique new collaborations between string quartet echo chamber and Manchester-based vocalists Marco Woolf and Lazuli, set against the backdrop of the city. Guests were immersed in music written by artists as diverse as Arvo Part and Kanye West, with a local visual artist and barista responding to the music in real time.
Curated by Leo Mercer, with support from Manchester International Festival.
Festival in My House is part of My Festival, supported by the Baring Foundation, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
