Take part in The Anvil at MIF19
Collage and Risograph printing workshop
Join MIF and Hulme Community Garden Centre for a series of creative workshops, suitable for all ages and led by local artist Tasha Whittle. Exploring climate change and climate action, we’ll be making 100’s of paper birds that will feature in one of the 15 episodes of The Anvil that are taking place throughout the city centre on Sunday 7 July.

If you’re a cyclist aged 18 or over, join us for a mass cycle ride and performance in the city centre as part of The Anvil on Sunday 7 July. We’re looking for 30 cyclists to take part in a short piece of pop-up theatre, led by playwright Billy Cowan and director Louise Lowe, that will take place several times throughout the day.

As well as turning up on the day, you’ll need to join us for a rehearsal at a city-centre location the day before. Bring your bike!

Women of Manchester
We’re looking for 50-100 women of all ages from Greater Manchester to take part in a mass gathering and poetry performance celebrating women’s voices in St Peter’s Square on Sunday 7 July, led by poet Hafsah Aneela Bashir and director Louise Lowe.
Times & dates:
As well as turning up on the day, you’ll need to join us for a rehearsal at a city-centre location the day before – and you’ll need to wear all white.
Sat 6 July: 10am–1pm (rehearsal)
Sun 7 July: 4–6pm (performance)
