MIF Drop in for Artists and Freelance Creatives
If you’re an artist, freelancer or creative who wants a chat or support as a result of the current situation surrounding COVID-19, MIF’s Artist Drop-ins provide a space for creatives of all kinds to keep in touch, share experiences and share ideas.
In these regular sessions we are joined by two guest artist speakers from Manchester and around the world who offer their unique perspective, advice and insight into the current state of the sector. Guest speakers have included Manchester-based creatives Pawel Paniczko, Darren Pritchard, LayFullstop, and Adam Szabo, as well as international artists Hélène Binet, Lola Arias, Lois Weaver and Huang Ruo.
The drop-ins are free, and all artists and creatives are welcome. Event details here.
Carry on the conversation by joining the MIF Drop-in for Artists and Freelance Creatives Facebook group here.
Other MIF activity developed to support Greater Manchester’s creative community includes funding for local artists and performers to develop work during the lockdown – from online Remote Residencies to workshops and exhibitions, and funding for people in Greater Manchester’s music industry. MIF is also part of GM Artist Hub, offering advice and resources to the independent practitioners, artists, and companies in the region.
