BREATHE 2
Manchester International Festival x Young Identity x the D.R.E.A.M. Ring
BREATHE is a dance and spoken word competition in which pairs of dancers and poets battle against each other, performing duets that showcase their complimentary styles whilst telling a single story.
BREATHE builds on the success of FlexN Manchester, a street dance show for MIF15 which featured dancers from Manchester and
Reggie ‘Regg Roc’ Gray's native New York, which Manchester Evening News described as “Powerful, accessible, fun but also thought provoking, FlexN Manchester is poetry in motion”. In MIF17, Reggie’s FlexN residency introduced a collaboration with spoken word collective Young Identity, which brought together local dancers and spoken word artists to explore the exciting relationship between the two art forms.
This is the second in our BREATHE series after the success of first event which took place in April in Hulme,
