MIF and The Warehouse Project Special Edition

Manchester International Festival and The Warehouse Project join forces once again following one of MIF15’s highlights, 10 x 10, for a series of unique nights in Manchester’s immense and atmospheric Mayfield, a former railway station in Manchester.

A collaboration between MIF and WHP, curated with BBC Radio 6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobbs, Special Edition brings an immense musical offering with Bonobo’s international Outlier series, the bold and brilliant Fever Ray, Manchester’s very own Grime King of the North, Bugzy Malone and the mighty Bicep, with visuals from lighting designer Stuart Bailes

Special Edition is part of a series of pre-Factory events, paving the way for the opening of The Factory, a new major arts space being developed in the heart of the city that will be operated by MIF.

Everything that happened and would happen

Pre-Factory event

Part-performance, part-construction site, Everything that happened and would happen by composer Heiner Goebbels is a re-enactment of history, always on the verge of collapse – only to be rebuilt as if nothing had happened.
