We’ve had some legendary Saturday nights in Festival Square during previous Festivals – and the Homoelectric crew took over all three stages for a massive six-hour block party to add to the legend of the Square.

The day kicked off with a YES takeover: live sets from family-friendly multicultural music collective Me Gusta and upcoming garage punks The Goa Express, DJs from Remake Remodel and Chips with Everything, and family activities from Born to Be Wild Child and Square Peg. Young Manchester quartet Porij mixed chill sounds with high-energy anthems, before sets from hip hop newcomer Jamaal Monarch and broken-beat duo Flex led us into the hot and heavy Homoelectric night…
