Saturday 3 July 2021 in Festival Square was a day of reconnection and celebration: with music, conversations, performances, participatory activities and much more inspired by Festival in My House… and Yours – and by other Festival collaborations created over the last year with and by the people of Greater Manchester. Among the highlights…

• Are You Playing Out?, a beautiful new performance inspired by childhood and created for Festival Square by the MIF’s Young People’s Forum
• Performances from Wythenshawe’s Shooting Star Theatre School and Salford’s JD Dance, chosen and presented by our MIF Neighbourhood Organisers
• A welcome return for the Chorus of Others, created for Fatherland at MIF17
• Spoken word and music with the crew from Heritage Radio, Manchester’s 24-hour Islamic station
• Terrific young talent courtesy of KYSO and the Manchester United Foundation
• Capturing a Summer 2020, a snapshot of the lockdown from which we’re hopefully now emerging for good
