MIF launches a new collaboration with the pioneering Homecoming for a one-night showcase of the most exciting music from Africa, the diaspora and beyond – with Nigerian Afrorave star Rema and hotly tipped Afrobeat act Midas the Jagaban performing live, a set from Manchester-based DJ–producer Anz, and Julie Adenuga hosting on the night.
Homecoming is an independent Black-owned digital platform and festival of cultural exchange in Lagos, Nigeria, established in 2017 by Grace Ladoja. Spotlighting Africa’s creative movement on the continent and in diaspora, Homecoming champions African creativity and brings international talent back to celebrate the continent’s homegrown culture – from music to art, fashion to football and more.
Homecoming Live kicks off our new partnership – which will culminate with a full Homecoming takeover celebrating African creative culture at The Factory, MIF’s future year-round home.
Produced by Manchester International Festival in partnership with Homecoming.
