Nature is everywhere in the city. Inspired by Animals of Manchester (including HUMANZ), this tour looks at Manchester’s living environment – its trees, birds and animals, but also its human representation. From the medieval plant and animal carvings at Manchester Cathedral via one of the UK’s greenest buildings and on into the oasis of Angel Meadow, from the evolution of the peppered moth to the legend of the Manchester Bee, Natural Manchester powerfully explores the city’s environment and its recovery from unbridled industrialisation. Please note: this tour ends not at Festival Square but at Angel Meadow Gardens (M4 4TF).
