One of music’s great maverick talents, Neneh Cherry joined us in Festival Square’s Pavilion Theatre back in 2013 for three intimate, riotous and unforgettable shows with RocketNumberNine – and while she was here, she opened up to DJ-author Dave Haslam, a longtime friend of the Festival, in a fascinating instalment of MIF13’s In Conversation strand.

We streamed the recording of the pair’s wide-ranging chat online for the very first time on Thursday 16 April as the first in our new weekly series of MIF Encounters. It has since been followed by other rare and never-seen-before conversations with some of the radicals, iconoclasts, and geniuses who we’ve welcomed to MIF over the past dozen or so years.
